This is a new opportunities generation role.
The successful candidate is a highly motivated, collaborative team player with extremely well- developed people and partnership skills. The primary role for this position is generation of new
opportunities with new relationships.
The compensation will be a base salary, commensurate with the candidate’s experience, plus commission, and a car allowance. The position will be supported by a good marketing strategy
and industry standard expense account.
Roles And Responsibilities:
- Development of new relationships with the commercial real estate and architectural/design communities that will generate business opportunities in our focused markets.
- Networking within the various industry associations and being omni present in the marketplace is paramount.
- This is not a 9 to 5 role. The selected candidate will be expected to attend various functions that are outside of a typical working hours.
- The role involves joining and becoming involved in various industry associations.
- The selected candidate will be expected to represent the Derrig
| Talbot brand in a very professional manner.
Qualifications and Abilities:
- Superior interpersonal skills are a must.
- Communication skills (in French and English) are essential.
- Must be a team player.
- Self starter with the ability to work independently.
- The ability to find creative ways to build relationships with prospective clients and networking contacts.
- Undergraduate Degree in business/management, marketing, or equivalent experience. MBA an asset.
Experience:
- To be considered, the candidate must have at least 3 years of sales experience serving our focused sectors.
- Must have a solid network of contacts in commercial real estate, commercial architects and designers, and owners/occupiers of corporate real estate facilities.
- Experience with a CRM is strongly desired.
